On April 19th, Shanti went to church with us. He did very well being quiet for an hour, laying at Wes' feet. During communion Shanti did a pretty good job keeping his nose off people. You could really tell when a dog owner walked by as Shanti's senses perked up. Getting out of the church at the end was probably the toughest part. He wanted to be like everyone else and stop to visit. This is something we know we need to work on with Shanti. His attention needs to be with Wes, not with his surroundings.
AND
On April 22nd Shanti had his first flying experience. He boarded an airplane and flew to Charlotte. We will be flying on occasion to go see family and friends and wanted to be sure that Shanti could go with us. Apparently he did pretty well with the whole ordeal.
