Trash!

Although Shanti loves to work, he does not like to have his vest put on. If you call him he will come immediately. However when he sees that you have his vest in your hand, he will start walking away. Once it is on he is fine with it. What is amazing is that you can visualize a difference in the way he looks and acts. When his vest is on he becomes much more "serious" and focused. We believe he knows it is time to work when the vest is on.
As we were preparing for bed this evening. We were in Randy's kitchen and Wes had just taken off Shanti's vest. Wes asked him to "get it", which Shanti did by taking it into his mouth. Wes was going to have Shanti carry the vest back to the bedroom to put it away. Wes began chuckling. Shanti, after "getting" the vest, walked right over to Randy's trash can and dropped the vest in. I had to laugh, too. Shanti is a smart dog. Do you think he was trying to tell us something?
