Happy New Year!

Shanti rang in the New Year at a 50's sock hop. Shanti did so well with the live music and all the noise. He even got out on the dance floor a couple times. As we did the twist, Shanti's tail swang back and forth to the beat of the music. Then, when I sat on Wes' lap for a slow dance, Shanti stayed to the left of the chair

and pretty much kept right in step with Wes...back and forth, left and right. Very cute, and as always Shanti got a lot of attention. As it got close to midnight and the noise makers came out, Shanti had his own noise maker. Shanti typically gets really excited when he hears anything that sounds like a sqeaky toy. Fortunately we pre-planned and had a toy to give him so he could make his own midnight noise. It was a lot of fun for all and when we got home around 12:30 a.m. Shanti was definitely ready for bed.
