Winter hike!

Today we took another hike to Macafee's knob. There was just a little snow on the ground and the it was soft in places. I took Shanti off the beaten path to get a drink of water out of a stream. I should have known that under the big pile of leaves on the way down to the water was a lot of mud. My boots were covered and if you look closely at this pic of Shanti you can see that he has it on his legs. Yuch! Good thing he likes his baths because he definitely needed (and got) one when we got home!
