To the Movies!

We had an outing with Shanti and our trainer, Connie. We were going to see the newest Indiana Jones movie at the local theater. We used this outing as a time to practice for Wes and Shanti to use Radar. One of the things we have to do to pass our level 4 test is that Wes has to be able to travel independently with Shanti using the city bus system. The picture below was taken a week or so earlier when Wes had gone to physical therapy. (Shanti stayed home with me that day) Today, unfortunately, I did not have my camera. We were trying to figure out how Shanti could get on the bus safely. The ramp was down and Wes had just loaded himself onto it. He was like he was in the picture below except that the ramp was lowered all the way down. When Wes gets on it there is probably less than a foot width available for Shanti. While we were trying to figure it out, Shanti figured it out himself. He jumped right up into Wes' lap and put his arms (front legs/paws) around Wes' neck and held on for the ride. It was soooo dog-gone cute. Talk about a missed "kodak moment"!
